First up is a popular–but popular for good reason–Halloween costume: a Hogwarts student! This costume is extremely versatile and easy to gather the materials for, as you can really be any Harry Potter character once you get a Hogwarts robe. All you need for this costume is a robe (which you can find at nearly any costume store), a wand, and a striped tie. Whether you’re dressing up as Hermione, Ginny, or Harry, this costume is sure to be a hit, and it’s super easy to turn into a group costume for your whole friend group.
If you’re getting super into reading classics this year, the perfect Halloween costume is Alice from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It’s a simple but adorable costume, and the materials are so easy to find. You just need to get a blue puff-sleeve dress, a white apron, a black hair bow, and some Mary Janes. This costume is sure to be an easily recognizable hit, but you can also totally rewear the blue dress after Halloween is done.
The already immensely popular Hunger Games series had a huge revival last year after the release of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie adaptation. Lucy Gray quickly became a fan favorite, and she would be an incredible Halloween costume. To recreate her iconic reaping outfit, all you need is a white flowy top, a purple maxi skirt, and a statement brown belt. Put your hair in some loose curls, and you’re good to go!
